3 Easy Steps to Transferring to SMSU
2. Send your official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities to the following address:
SMSU may be able to obtain your official transcript from any of the Minnesota State Colleges or Universities at no charge to you. If we are not able to obtain the free e transcript, we will contact you.

3. Send in your $20 application fee.
Upon Admission you will receive a DARS report outlining how your courses transferred into our Liberal Arts Core (LAC).

Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MTC)
Minnesota’s public colleges and universities have established a state wide general education plan to help students transfer in their general education courses. Completion of the MTC at one institution enables a student to earn SMSU’s general education. Check out MNtransfer.org to learn more about MTC!
