Music

Southwest Minnesota State University's Music degree allows students the opportunity to develop an understanding and appreciation of music, their own creativity, and artistic performance.

Students may obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with emphasis in Performance, Management, or Music in the Liberal Arts; or a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocal and/or Instrumental Music Education.

The Bachelor of Science in Music Education degree prepares students for music teaching licensure in the specialized areas of K-12 vocal/general music or K-12 instrumental/general music.

The Bachelor of Arts:  Music with emphasis in management allows students the opportunity to gain management skills in both music and business.

The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in music are fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
